Global Donut Days 2026 is a five-day, community-led festival taking place online and in person around the world, centred on Doughnut Economics.

It's a moment for the DEAL community worldwide to share ideas, exchange experiences and explore what putting Doughnut Economics into practice can look like in different places and contexts.

Get involved

Global Donut Days welcomes many kinds of activities — from workshops, panels and film screenings to food markets, art performances and hands-on community events.

On 25 June, we’ll open the call for local organisers worldwide.

If you'd like to organise your own event and bring together your community, classmates or colleagues, stay tuned — we’ll be sharing all the information you need to help plan here.

Global Donut Days so far

Global Donut Days began in 2023 as a single day of coordinated local action, evolving into a multi-day festival in 2024. Last year, the global community created more than 70 events across 45 cities in 24 countries, sharing stories, ideas and inspiration for putting Doughnut Economics into practice.

Every year, people arrive with their own questions — gathering around topics as diverse as education, business, policy, arts, culture and community organising, in formats ranging from workshops and panel sessions to performances, tours, exhibitions, screenings and celebrations, to name just a few!

All of it rooted in local experience, and part of a global movement towards meeting the needs of all people within the means of the living planet.
