Personal Doughnut Template

A template to develop a personal doughnut

Who is it for?

This tool is to help individuals make a personal version of the doughnut. The aim is to provide guidance on lowering our impact on the earth whilst increasing social purpose and positive ways of being, helping the individual and household to thrive. There is no right or wrong way to do this, just the act of thinking about it is incredibly productive. Working with peers provides a supportive and encouraging environment to consider what action to undertake.

How long does it take?

If you choose to use the descriptors given then it can take an hour or so. If you choose to write your own descriptors then 3-4 hours may be needed to think this through.

How many people is it for?

What materials do you need?

Paper and pen. The downloadable PDF file contains various printable A4 versions.

What does the facilitator need to know or be able to do?

Did anyone create an edit-able version of this? Awesome idea, but not so useful if we can't facilitate others in the conversation,,, Thank you  @Zoe Gilbertson  for the inspiration!

    Dear Zoe,
I am trying to use your doughnut also with a group of people. However, we speak in Spanish. Thus, I wanted to ask if I could have an editable doughnut that I can translate and then also share it back here for other Spanish speakers to use.
    Best,
    Eva

Heather - Were you able to find a way to edit the personal doughnut graphic?  I am trying to use this but don't have the means to customize it.
    Thanks - John

Zoe, I have worked on personalising my family's doughnut for some time and appreciate the approach you have taken. Any chance you would share the Excel/PPT template that you have used to make the PDF?

Hi Thomas, I actually used Adobe Illustrator, it will be a vector based file. I’m sorry that’s not particularly helpful.

If you want, I could see if I can create a Powerpoint (PPT) out of it and then return to you. You can then share the file with the world and everyone can make their own family donut.

Thomas, Were you able to produce a format for this that can be shared?  I am struggling to find any software to recreate this personal doughnut so that I can use it locally in the U.S.  Thanks - John

Zoe - are you still active with the personal doughnut you created?  I am trying to find easy-to-use software to try to recreate this so that I can use it in the U.S. but am not having any luck.  I know there was a lot of interest on this a year ago and was hoping maybe some other members came up with an easy-to-use solution to edit the personal doughnut.
    Thanks - John
