Doughnut Economics Journey of Knowledge Map
Icebreaker to enable meeting attendees to share in a group activity. It creates an atmosphere of active participation.

This is an interactive tool for use during group meet-ups for attendees to plot how far along the road to a full understanding of Doughnut Economics each person feels they are. Use in Zoom calls via the Screenshare function and ask that attendees use Zoom’s Annotate feature to plot where they are along the line of knowledge between Beginner and Guru. The tool provides for a moment of self-reflection and within a few moments creates a visual snapshot of the whole group’s level of knowledge.
Why use it?
The facilitator needs to understand how to Annotate during Zoom calls in order to guide meeting attendees who do not know how to do this. (To annotate while viewing someone else's shared screen, select View Option from the top of the Zoom window, and then choose Annotate. A toolbar appears with all your options for annotating, including text, draw, arrow, and so forth.)

I'm Sunkyung HAN, and I'm the co-initiator of Donut-Zip, a group focused on bringing doughnut economics to life in South Korea. Through Donut-Zip, I want to help organizations and communities adopt these principles to drive sustainable change. As the CEO of C., a social innovation catalyst organization, I’ve become passionate about fundamental transformations and have been working to introduce doughnut economics as part of a broader vision for systemic change. With more than 15 years of experience connecting people and organizations in social innovation, I founded C. in 2014 to create sensemaking platforms that link up social innovators across Asia. Beyond C., I’ve been an advisor on social innovation committees with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a Korean advisor for AVPN, and a board member for YouthVoice, a nonprofit that helps young people express themselves through social media.

I am a secondary school teacher (Geography Ages 11+ - GCSE, Politics A-level) holding a BA International Politics. I'd like to incorporate doughnut economics into my curriculum and ensure students have a clear picture of economic systems and their impact before they leave school. Want to help stimulate a move towards a circular, inclusive economy, and do my part to help our society respond to a clear climate crisis in the 21st Century. Keen to collaborate with other educators.
