Amsterdam is leading the way with its Circular Strategy 2020-2025, aiming to halve the use of new raw materials by 2030 and to achieve a fully circular city by 2050. Central to this endeavour is the Doughnut Economics Model and the City Portrait methodology.
Inspired by the power of the Doughnut and what is possible in Amsterdam, many grassroots initiatives all around the globe have set out on their own journey. From Brussels to Berlin, Paris to Rio de Janeiro and even California and Barbados - the energy is spreading. From the overall vision to a city, a county or even a whole country network - this panel explores the diverse ways in which the Doughnut Economics model has inspired people to come together and co-create a thriving future for all. This panel showcased different ways the Doughnut can be and is already being put into practice at
The Future Living Conference 'Bold Change' last year.
